Privacy

We collect the profile details you give us and the things you post, share and record in the network. Other approved members can see your profile, but not your email address unless you choose to show it. We do not track you, we do not advertise, and we never sell your information or share it with anyone outside the services that run this platform.

What you tell us: your name, email address, role or job title, organization, county or state, tribal nation if you choose to give one, a photo, a LinkedIn link, a short description of your work, your areas of interest, what you are hoping to learn, and the pathways you join. Only your name and email are required — the rest is yours to fill in or leave blank.

What you create here: posts and comments in pathway spaces, files you upload, announcements, event RSVPs, survey answers, and a record when you use the Reach out button to contact another member.

Sign-in information: we use a six-digit code sent to your email instead of a password, so we never hold a password for you. We keep the date of your last sign-in.

Other approved members can see your profile — name, photo, role, organization, county, interests and description — and anything you post in a pathway you share with them.

Your email address is hidden by default. Other members only see it if you turn on that option in your profile.

ICFW staff and administrators can see all member profiles including email addresses, pending applications, and everything posted in the network. This is how membership is approved and the network is supported.

When you use Reach out, we email your message to that member. Their address is never shown to you. Your address is attached so they can reply, so replying reveals it to them.

Nothing here is public. Only approved members can see inside the network, and there is no public directory.

To run the network: showing the directory, delivering pathway spaces and events, sending the weekly digest, and letting members find and contact each other.

For evaluation and reporting. ICFW uses information about connections in the network — reach-outs, introductions, survey answers about who you work with, and participation in pathways and events — to understand how the network is growing and to report to funders. This includes network maps showing how members are connected to one another, and summary statistics about participation. Reports shared outside ICFW describe the network as a whole; they are not used to rank, score or evaluate individual members.

To draft one sentence of the weekly digest. The digest may include a sentence drafted with the help of an AI service (Anthropic). It receives only counts — for example, the number of reach-outs in a week. It never receives names, profiles, posts or any personal information, and a named member of ICFW staff reviews and approves the wording before any digest is sent.

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or any third-party tracker. Nothing here follows you around the internet.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the services listed below.

The only cookies we set are the one that keeps you signed in, and one stored on your own device recording when you last visited so we can show you what is new.

The platform runs on Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (sending email). Each necessarily handles your information in order to provide that service.

One further service, Anthropic, is used to draft a single sentence for the weekly digest, as described above. It receives weekly counts only — never names, profiles, posts or any personal information.

We use no other third parties.

This is a shared professional network, not a case record system. Please never post confidential or identifying information about children, families or clients — in a post, a comment, a file, a survey answer, or anywhere else in the network.

You can edit or clear most of your profile at any time from your profile page, including whether your email address is visible to other members.

You can ask us to correct your details, remove something you posted, or close your account and take your profile out of the directory. If you close your account, contributions you made to shared spaces — a file the pathway relies on, or a post others replied to — may remain with your name attached so conversations still make sense. Tell us if you would like those removed too and we will take them down.

Your profile is kept for as long as you are a member. If you close your account or ask to be removed, we delete your profile and sign-in account within 30 days.

Things you contributed to shared spaces — posts, comments, files, announcements — stay in the network with your name attached, so that conversations still make sense and pathways do not lose resources other members rely on. Ask us and we will remove them.

Records of network activity— participation in pathways and events, connections between members, and survey responses — are kept as part of the network's record, because ICFW reports on this work to its funders. These records are retained for the life of the initiative and for at least three years after the funding period they support, in line with our funders' requirements and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee records policies.

The historical archive — learning logs and activity records going back to 2019 — is kept permanently as the institutional record of this work.

Accounts that are never activated. If you are invited but never sign in, we remove the invitation and any details we hold after 12 months.

Deleted information may remain in routine system backups for a short time after removal, and email delivery records are held briefly by our email provider.
